  • Proverbs 30:3 - “I flunked ‘wisdom.’ I see no evidence of a holy God.   • Romans 11:25 - I want to lay all this out on the table as clearly as I can, friends. This is complicated.   • 1 Timothy 1:5 - The whole point of what we’re urging is simply love—love uncontaminated by self-interest and counterfeit faith, a life open to God. Those who fail to keep to this point soon wander off into dead ends of gossip. They set themselves up as experts on religious issues, but haven’t the remotest idea of what they’re holding forth with such imposing eloquence.
  • 1 Corinthians 13:8 - Love never dies. Inspired speech will be over some day; praying in tongues will end; understanding will reach its limit. We know only a portion of the truth, and what we say about God is always incomplete. But when the Complete arrives, our incompletes will be canceled.
