  • Ecclesiastes 9:4 - [There is no exemption,] but whoever is joined with all the living, has hope; surely a live dog is better than a dead lion.

  • Job 3:23 - Why is the light of day given to a man whose way is hidden, And whom God has hedged in?
  • Job 3:24 - For my groaning comes at the sight of my food, And my cries [of despair] are poured out like water.
  • Job 3:25 - For the thing which I greatly fear comes upon me, And that of which I am afraid has come upon me.
  • Job 3:26 - I am not at ease, nor am I quiet, And I am not at rest, and yet trouble still comes [upon me].”
  • Ecclesiastes 2:17 - So I hated life, for the work which had been done under the sun caused me only great sorrow; because all is futility and chasing after the wind.
