  • Nehemiah 11:1 - Now the leaders of the people lived in Jerusalem; but the rest of the people cast lots to bring one [person] out of ten to live in Jerusalem, the holy city, while nine-tenths remained in the other cities.
  • Nehemiah 11:2 - And the people blessed all the men who volunteered to live in Jerusalem.
  • Nehemiah 11:3 - These are the heads of the provinces who lived in Jerusalem, but in the cities of Judah everyone lived on his property in their cities—the Israelites, the priests, the Levites, the temple servants, and the descendants of Solomon’s servants.
  • Nehemiah 11:4 - And some of the sons of Judah and some of the sons of Benjamin lived in Jerusalem. From the sons of Judah: Athaiah the son of Uzziah, the son of Zechariah, the son of Amariah, the son of Shephatiah, the son of Mahalalel, of the sons of Perez;
  • Nehemiah 11:5 - Maaseiah the son of Baruch, the son of Col-hozeh, the son of Hazaiah, the son of Adaiah, the son of Joiarib, the son of Zechariah, the son of the Shilonite.

  • Nehemiah 11:14 - and their brothers, brave men, 128. Their overseer was Zabdiel the son of Haggedolim [one of the great men].

  • Nehemiah 11:18 - All the Levites in the holy city totaled 284.
  • Nehemiah 11:19 - The gatekeepers: Akkub, Talmon, and their kinsmen, who kept watch at the gates, totaled 172.
  • Nehemiah 11:20 - Now the rest of Israel, the priests and the Levites, were in all the cities of Judah, each on his own inheritance.
  • Nehemiah 11:21 - But the temple servants were living in Ophel; Ziha and Gishpa were in charge of the temple servants.
  • Nehemiah 11:22 - The overseer of the Levites in Jerusalem was Uzzi the son of Bani, the son of Hashabiah, the son of Mattaniah, the son of Mica, from Asaph’s sons, who were the singers in regard to the work of the house of God.
  • Nehemiah 11:23 - For there was a command from the [ Persian] king regarding the singers, as to their daily task.
  • Nehemiah 11:24 - Pethahiah the son of Meshezabel, of the sons of Zerah the son of Judah, was the king’s representative in all matters concerning the people.
  • Nehemiah 11:25 - As for the villages with their fields, some sons (descendants) of Judah lived in Kiriath-arba and its towns, Dibon and its towns, and Jekabzeel and its villages,

  • Nehemiah 11:31 - The sons (descendants) of Benjamin also lived from Geba onward, at Michmash, Aija, Bethel and its towns,
  • Nehemiah 11:32 - at Anathoth, Nob, Ananiah,
  • Nehemiah 11:33 - Hazor, Ramah, Gittaim,
  • Nehemiah 11:34 - Hadid, Zeboim, Neballat,
  • Nehemiah 11:35 - Lod, and Ono, the Valley of the Craftsmen.
  • Nehemiah 11:36 - And certain divisions of the Levites in Judah belonged to Benjamin.
  • 1 Kings 4:7 - Solomon had twelve deputies over all Israel, who secured provisions for the king and his household; each man had to provide for a month in the year.

  • 1 Kings 4:13 - Ben-geber, in Ramoth-gilead (the villages of Jair the son of Manasseh, which are in Gilead belonged to him, also the region of Argob, which is in Bashan, sixty great cities with walls and bronze bars);
  • 1 Kings 4:14 - Ahinadab the son of Iddo, in Mahanaim;
  • 1 Kings 4:15 - Ahimaaz, in [the tribe of] Naphtali (he also married Basemath, Solomon’s daughter);
  • 1 Kings 4:16 - Baana the son of Hushai, in [the tribe of] Asher and Bealoth;
  • 1 Kings 4:17 - Jehoshaphat the son of Paruah, in [the tribe of] Issachar;
  • 1 Kings 4:18 - Shimei the son of Ela, in [the tribe of] Benjamin;
  • 1 Kings 4:19 - Geber the son of Uri, in the land of Gilead, the country of Sihon king of the Amorites and of Og king of Bashan; and he was the only officer who was in the land.
  • 1 Kings 4:20 - [The people of] Judah and Israel were as numerous as the sand that is in abundance by the sea; they were eating and drinking and rejoicing.
  • 1 Kings 4:21 - Now Solomon reigned over all the kingdoms from the [Euphrates] River to the land of the Philistines and to the border of Egypt; they brought tribute (money) and served Solomon all the days of his life.
  • 1 Kings 4:22 - Solomon’s food [for the royal household] for one day was thirty kors of finely milled flour, sixty kors of wheat flour,
  • 1 Kings 4:23 - ten fat oxen, twenty pasture-fed oxen, a hundred sheep not counting fallow deer, gazelles, roebucks, and fattened fowl.
  • Ezekiel 45:6 - “You shall give the city possession of an area 5,000 cubits wide and 25,000 cubits long, alongside the portion set aside as a holy section. It shall belong to the whole house of Israel.
