  • Jeremiah 28:14 - This is what the Lord Almighty, the God of Israel, says: I will put an iron yoke on the necks of all these nations to make them serve Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon, and they will serve him. I will even give him control over the wild animals.’ ”

  • Ezekiel 4:5 - I have assigned you the same number of days as the years of their sin. So for 390 days you will bear the sin of the people of Israel.

  • Ezekiel 12:2 - “Son of man, you are living among a rebellious people. They have eyes to see but do not see and ears to hear but do not hear, for they are a rebellious people.
  • Ezekiel 12:3 - “Therefore, son of man, pack your belongings for exile and in the daytime, as they watch, set out and go from where you are to another place. Perhaps they will understand, though they are a rebellious people.
  • Ezekiel 12:4 - During the daytime, while they watch, bring out your belongings packed for exile. Then in the evening, while they are watching, go out like those who go into exile.
  • Ezekiel 12:5 - While they watch, dig through the wall and take your belongings out through it.
  • Ezekiel 12:6 - Put them on your shoulder as they are watching and carry them out at dusk. Cover your face so that you cannot see the land, for I have made you a sign to the Israelites.”
  • Ezekiel 12:7 - So I did as I was commanded. During the day I brought out my things packed for exile. Then in the evening I dug through the wall with my hands. I took my belongings out at dusk, carrying them on my shoulders while they watched.

  • Ezekiel 12:13 - I will spread my net for him, and he will be caught in my snare; I will bring him to Babylonia, the land of the Chaldeans, but he will not see it, and there he will die.

  • Ezekiel 12:18 - “Son of man, tremble as you eat your food, and shudder in fear as you drink your water.
  • Ezekiel 12:19 - Say to the people of the land: ‘This is what the Sovereign Lord says about those living in Jerusalem and in the land of Israel: They will eat their food in anxiety and drink their water in despair, for their land will be stripped of everything in it because of the violence of all who live there.
  • Ezekiel 12:20 - The inhabited towns will be laid waste and the land will be desolate. Then you will know that I am the Lord.’ ”
  • Ezekiel 12:21 - The word of the Lord came to me:
  • Ezekiel 12:22 - “Son of man, what is this proverb you have in the land of Israel: ‘The days go by and every vision comes to nothing’?
  • Ezekiel 12:23 - Say to them, ‘This is what the Sovereign Lord says: I am going to put an end to this proverb, and they will no longer quote it in Israel.’ Say to them, ‘The days are near when every vision will be fulfilled.
  • Ezekiel 12:24 - For there will be no more false visions or flattering divinations among the people of Israel.
  • Ezekiel 12:25 - But I the Lord will speak what I will, and it shall be fulfilled without delay. For in your days, you rebellious people, I will fulfill whatever I say, declares the Sovereign Lord.’ ”

  • Jeremiah 13:1 - This is what the Lord said to me: “Go and buy a linen belt and put it around your waist, but do not let it touch water.”
  • Jeremiah 13:2 - So I bought a belt, as the Lord directed, and put it around my waist.

  • Jeremiah 13:4 - “Take the belt you bought and are wearing around your waist, and go now to Perath and hide it there in a crevice in the rocks.”
  • Jeremiah 13:5 - So I went and hid it at Perath, as the Lord told me.
  • Jeremiah 13:6 - Many days later the Lord said to me, “Go now to Perath and get the belt I told you to hide there.”
  • Jeremiah 13:7 - So I went to Perath and dug up the belt and took it from the place where I had hidden it, but now it was ruined and completely useless.
  • Jeremiah 13:8 - Then the word of the Lord came to me:
  • Jeremiah 13:9 - “This is what the Lord says: ‘In the same way I will ruin the pride of Judah and the great pride of Jerusalem.
  • Jeremiah 13:10 - These wicked people, who refuse to listen to my words, who follow the stubbornness of their hearts and go after other gods to serve and worship them, will be like this belt—completely useless!
  • Jeremiah 13:11 - For as a belt is bound around the waist, so I bound all the people of Israel and all the people of Judah to me,’ declares the Lord, ‘to be my people for my renown and praise and honor. But they have not listened.’
