  • Matthew 9:15 - Jesus said to them, “The wedding guests cannot mourn while the bridegroom is with them, can they? But the days are coming when the bridegroom will be taken from them, and then they will fast.

  • Matthew 21:39 - So they seized him, threw him out of the vineyard, and killed him.
  • Matthew 21:40 - Now when the owner of the vineyard comes, what will he do to those tenants?”
  • Matthew 21:41 - They said to him, “He will utterly destroy those evil men! Then he will lease the vineyard to other tenants who will give him his portion at the harvest.”
  • Matthew 21:42 - Jesus said to them, “Have you never read in the scriptures: ‘The stone the builders rejected has become the cornerstone. This is from the Lord, and it is marvelous in our eyes’?

  • Matthew 21:44 - The one who falls on this stone will be broken to pieces, and the one on whom it falls will be crushed.”

  • Matthew 21:46 - They wanted to arrest him, but they were afraid of the crowds, because the crowds regarded him as a prophet.
  • Matthew 12:43 - “When an unclean spirit goes out of a person, it passes through waterless places looking for rest but does not find it.
  • Matthew 12:44 - Then it says, ‘I will return to the home I left.’ When it returns, it finds the house empty, swept clean, and put in order.
  • Matthew 12:45 - Then it goes and brings with it seven other spirits more evil than itself, and they go in and live there, so the last state of that person is worse than the first. It will be that way for this evil generation as well!”
