交叉引用
  • Proverbs 15:7 - Perceptive words spread knowledge; fools are hollow—there’s nothing to them.
  • Proverbs 16:16 - Get wisdom—it’s worth more than money; choose insight over income every time.
  • Proverbs 15:23 - Congenial conversation—what a pleasure! The right word at the right time—beautiful!
  • Job 28:12 - “But where, oh where, will they find Wisdom? Where does Insight hide? Mortals don’t have a clue, haven’t the slightest idea where to look. Earth’s depths say, ‘It’s not here’; ocean deeps echo, ‘Never heard of it.’ It can’t be bought with the finest gold; no amount of silver can get it. Even famous Ophir gold can’t buy it, not even diamonds and sapphires. Neither gold nor emeralds are comparable; extravagant jewelry can’t touch it. Pearl necklaces and ruby bracelets—why bother? None of this is even a down payment on Wisdom! Pile gold and African diamonds as high as you will, they can’t hold a candle to Wisdom.
  • Romans 10:14 - But how can people call for help if they don’t know who to trust? And how can they know who to trust if they haven’t heard of the One who can be trusted? And how can they hear if nobody tells them? And how is anyone going to tell them, unless someone is sent to do it? That’s why Scripture exclaims, A sight to take your breath away! Grand processions of people telling all the good things of God! But not everybody is ready for this, ready to see and hear and act. Isaiah asked what we all ask at one time or another: “Does anyone care, God? Is anyone listening and believing a word of it?” The point is: Before you trust, you have to listen. But unless Christ’s Word is preached, there’s nothing to listen to.
  • Proverbs 10:20 - The speech of a good person is worth waiting for; the blabber of the wicked is worthless.
  • Proverbs 10:21 - The talk of a good person is rich fare for many, but chatterboxes die of an empty heart.
  • Proverbs 16:21 - A wise person gets known for insight; gracious words add to one’s reputation.
  • Ephesians 4:29 - Watch the way you talk. Let nothing foul or dirty come out of your mouth. Say only what helps, each word a gift.
  • Ecclesiastes 12:9 - Besides being wise himself, the Quester also taught others knowledge. He weighed, examined, and arranged many proverbs. The Quester did his best to find the right words and write the plain truth.
  • Ecclesiastes 12:11 - The words of the wise prod us to live well. They’re like nails hammered home, holding life together. They are given by God, the one Shepherd.
  • Proverbs 16:24 - Gracious speech is like clover honey— good taste to the soul, quick energy for the body.
