  • Revelation 12:13 - And when the dragon saw that he was thrown down to the earth, he persecuted the woman who had given birth to the male Child.

  • Revelation 11:4 - These [witnesses] are the two olive trees and the two lampstands which stand before the Lord of the earth.
  • Revelation 11:5 - And if anyone wants to harm them, fire comes out of their mouth and devours their enemies; so if anyone wants to harm them, he must be killed in this way.
  • Revelation 11:6 - These [two witnesses] have the power [from God] to shut up the sky, so that no rain will fall during the days of their prophesying [regarding judgment and salvation]; and they have power over the waters (seas, rivers) to turn them into blood, and to strike the earth with every [kind of] plague, as often as they wish.
  • Revelation 11:7 - When they have finished their testimony and given their evidence, the beast that comes up out of the abyss (bottomless pit) will wage war with them, and overcome them and kill them.
  • Revelation 11:8 - And their dead bodies will lie exposed in the open street of the great city (Jerusalem), which in a spiritual sense is called [by the symbolic and allegorical names of] Sodom and Egypt, where also their Lord was crucified.
  • Revelation 11:9 - Those from the peoples and tribes and languages and nations look at their dead bodies for three and a half days, and will not allow their dead bodies to be laid in a tomb.
  • Revelation 11:10 - And those [non-believers] who live on the earth will gloat over them and rejoice; and they will send gifts [in celebration] to one another, because these two prophets tormented and troubled those who live on the earth.
  • Revelation 11:11 - But after three and a half days, the breath of life from God came into them, and they stood on their feet; and great fear and panic fell on those who were watching them.
  • Revelation 11:12 - And the two witnesses heard a loud voice from heaven saying to them, “Come up here.” Then they ascended into heaven in the cloud, and their enemies watched them.
  • Revelation 11:13 - And in that [very] hour there was a great earthquake, and a tenth of the city fell and was destroyed; seven thousand people were killed in the earthquake, and the rest [who survived] were overcome with terror, and they glorified the God of heaven [as they recognized His awesome power].

  • 2 Timothy 3:3 - [and they will be] unloving [devoid of natural human affection, calloused and inhumane], irreconcilable, malicious gossips, devoid of self-control [intemperate, immoral], brutal, haters of good,
  • 2 Timothy 3:4 - traitors, reckless, conceited, lovers of [sensual] pleasure rather than lovers of God,
  • 2 Timothy 3:5 - holding to a form of [outward] godliness (religion), although they have denied its power [for their conduct nullifies their claim of faith]. Avoid such people and keep far away from them.
  • 2 Timothy 3:6 - For among them are those who worm their way into homes and captivate morally weak and spiritually-dwarfed women weighed down by [the burden of their] sins, easily swayed by various impulses,
  • 2 Timothy 3:7 - always learning and listening to anybody who will teach them, but never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.
  • 2 Timothy 3:8 - Just as Jannes and Jambres [the court magicians of Egypt] opposed Moses, so these men also oppose the truth, men of depraved mind, unqualified and worthless [as teachers] in regard to the faith.
  • 2 Timothy 3:9 - But they will not get very far, for their meaningless nonsense and ignorance will become obvious to everyone, as was that of Jannes and Jambres.
  • 2 Timothy 3:10 - Now you have diligently followed [my example, that is] my teaching, conduct, purpose, faith, patience, love, steadfastness,
  • 2 Timothy 3:11 - persecutions, and sufferings—such as happened to me at Antioch, at Iconium, and at Lystra; what persecutions I endured, but the Lord rescued me from them all!
  • 2 Timothy 3:12 - Indeed, all who delight in pursuing righteousness and are determined to live godly lives in Christ Jesus will be hunted and persecuted [because of their faith].

  • 2 Timothy 3:16 - All Scripture is God-breathed [given by divine inspiration] and is profitable for instruction, for conviction [of sin], for correction [of error and restoration to obedience], for training in righteousness [learning to live in conformity to God’s will, both publicly and privately—behaving honorably with personal integrity and moral courage];
  • 2 Timothy 3:17 - so that the man of God may be complete and proficient, outfitted and thoroughly equipped for every good work.
  • 2 Thessalonians 2:3 - Let no one in any way deceive or entrap you, for that day will not come unless the apostasy comes first [that is, the great rebellion, the abandonment of the faith by professed Christians], and the man of lawlessness is revealed, the son of destruction [the Antichrist, the one who is destined to be destroyed],
  • 2 Thessalonians 2:4 - who opposes and exalts himself [so proudly and so insolently] above every so-called god or object of worship, so that he [actually enters and] takes his seat in the temple of God, publicly proclaiming that he himself is God.

  • 2 Thessalonians 2:6 - And you know what restrains him now [from being revealed]; it is so that he will be revealed at his own [appointed] time.
